Students at St. Andrew Nativity School learn core subjects, and are given extended school days. The subjects taught include: History, Language Arts, Math, P.E./Health, Religion, and Science.
Electives are taught most Fridays, offering students a chance to discover and expand other unique areas of interest.
School days begin at 8am and end at 5pm, Monday-Thursday. These afternoons from 3-5pm are dedicated to Study Hall, providing students a quiet and safe atmosphere in which to complete their daily homework. Volunteers often give their time during Study Hall to help individual students or to be a resource for the classroom.

A Little Background On Nativity School
St. Andrew Nativity School opened its tuition-free doors in 2001 to a group of 24 hopeful 6th graders from Northeast Portland. It now serves students in the 6th, 7th, & 8th grades, all of whose families would otherwise be unable to afford private education for their children.
During their years at St. Andrew Nativity School, students learn the academic, disciplinary, and emotional skills necessary to "break the cycle of poverty through education." According to ability, students are then placed in high schools with rigorous academic curricula in the Portland Metro area.
The Graduate Support Program was formed to help graduates by providing a structured yet flexible support base as they venture into a competitive high school and post-secondary world.
